EAS
EAS — Simplified Joint-Stock Company
The Simplified Joint-Stock Company (EAS) is a company form under Paraguayan law, with online incorporation and its own rules.
- It can be formed with a single shareholder.
- It may be a single-shareholder company.
- Incorporation is completed online.
- It has no legal minimum capital.
- Capital must be adequate for the company’s purpose.
- It allows contributions in cash and in kind.
- It may carry out lawful commercial activities, subject to specially regulated activities.
It can be a particularly practical option for certain ventures seeking a simplified company structure. It is not automatically the best choice for every foreigner.
SA
SA — Corporation (Sociedad Anónima)
A Sociedad Anónima (SA) has a different company structure from an EAS. Incorporation and operation differ and it may suit certain business structures.

SRL
SRL — Limited Liability Company (SRL)
A Limited Liability Company (SRL) has a structure different from EAS and SA. Capital is represented by quotas.

The Simplified Joint-Stock Company (EAS) is a company form under Paraguayan law. This is general information — not legal advice.

Can a foreigner open a company in Paraguay?
Yes. The rules allow foreign participation. Representation and documentation depend on the case and structure.
Can I have a company by myself?
Yes — an EAS can be formed with one shareholder and may be single-shareholder. Other forms (SA, SRL) require at least two partners.
What is the difference between EAS, SA and SRL?
They differ in minimum/maximum partners, registration path, and how capital is represented (shares vs quotas). See the orientative comparison on this page. None is always best.
Is there a minimum capital for an EAS?
Under current official information, an EAS has no legal minimum capital. Capital must be adequate for the company’s purpose. Special activities may have their own requirements.
Can I start the process from my country?
Yes, some preparation can start remotely. We do not promise 100% remote incorporation in every case.
Can I open a company and later apply for residency?
Yes — they are distinct processes. They can be analysed in a coordinated way. Opening a company does not automatically grant residency.
Can Paraguay OS keep administering my company after incorporation?
Yes. After incorporation, needs may include administration, accounting, office and local support. Paraguay OS can continue accompanying and coordinating as needed.
